David G. Mayer founded BLN in January 2002 and, with the help of the Patton Boggs team, has published more than 70 consecutive monthly issues as of January 2008.
Mr. Mayer is a partner in the Dallas office of Patton Boggs LLP, an international law firm with over 600 professional worldwide. As a member the firm's Business Group, Mr. Mayer is sought after for the skills he has acquired during 29 years of law practice in domestic and international business transactions. He frequently speaks on finance, aviation, leasing, technology and other subjects and has written or edited more than 300 articles during the last five years in BLN and in other publications. He structures, negotiates, drafts and closes related transactions and advises businesses on growth strategies, new products and management issues.
Mr. Mayer is the author of Business Leasing For Dummies®, which is part of the well-known "For Dummies" series. Though out of print, the book still trades in the secondary market and has strongly influenced Mr. Mayer's clear and simple style of writing.
